Christmas comes to Maihama on November 11, 2026, and it sticks around through December 25. During those six-ish weeks, both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea run their seasonal Disney Christmas event, and the festive mood spills out into the Disney hotels, the monorail, and the Ikspiari shopping area next to the station.
This year has a special twist: Tokyo DisneySea is celebrating its 25th anniversary, so part of the holiday look swaps classic red and green for a cool shade the resort calls Jubilee Blue. Here is what’s new, what’s back, and what’s worth planning your day around.
Tokyo Disneyland: toys come to life
The headline act is the returning Christmas parade (トイズ・ワンダラス・クリスマス!), built around a simple, sweet idea: Santa’s workshop has been busy answering kids’ wish letters, and the freshly made toys want to make friends. Expect teddy bears in holiday trim, building blocks, toy vehicles, fashion dolls and a marching nutcracker band rolling by alongside Mickey and a big cast of pals. It runs about 45 minutes once a day across six floats, with stops in three areas of the park, so you can catch the interactive moment without camping on the busiest stretch.
After dark, a Christmas fireworks show lights up the sky to holiday music, and the evening electrical parade gets a limited-time Christmas version. Two attractions also go seasonal: the Country Bear Theater swaps in a winter songbook from November 1, and the Haunted Mansion’s holiday overlay is already running from September 15.
Look for a glowing tree in the middle of World Bazaar, and brand-new entrance decorations themed to the toy parade.
Tokyo DisneySea: a blue Christmas, in the best way
The star photo spot this year is in American Waterfront, where a tree dressed in blue ornaments marks the park’s 25th anniversary, paired with the anniversary logo. The entrance tree gets the same Jubilee Blue treatment, so your first holiday photo of the day may look a little different from past years.
On the water, the Christmas greeting show returns to Mediterranean Harbor: an ornament-covered boat brings Mickey, Minnie, Duffy, ShellieMay and Santa out for roughly 15 minutes of carols, twice a day.
American Waterfront also fills with roaming music: an a cappella caroling group, a clarinet-and-accordion trio strolling the streets, and a peppy holiday band. They’re easy to stumble into, so keep your ears open between rides.
Eat your way through the holidays
The seasonal menu starts early, on November 1, so October planners take note.
A new food plaza in front of the castle (ジョリーフード・プラザ) debuts this year at Tokyo Disneyland. Booths and wagons serve grab-and-go holiday bites like a stollen-style cookie, shepherd’s pie, cheese pretzels and doughnuts.
Both parks get a new warm drink: hot yuzu matcha, matcha with a light citrus lift from yuzu. Holiday party buckets with chicken and snacks pack to go at Camp Woodchuck Kitchen (Disneyland) and Lookout Cookout (DisneySea). The strawberry milk drink and chocolate churros are back.
A new popcorn bucket shaped around Lil Lin Lin, the resort’s Christmas fairy, comes with a strap and ribbon detail. Pair it with the mini snack case for a big-and-small set.
Souvenirs and Duffy & Friends
Christmas merchandise goes on sale November 10, one day before the event begins. Beyond the classic Mickey-and-friends holiday designs, the spotlight is on Lil Lin Lin, dressed in soft pink and green, with plush badges and wearable goodies. Popular items can sell out, so early in the season is your best bet.
Duffy fans get their own winter story at Tokyo DisneySea from November 2 to January 13, 2027. The theme is cozy: the friends stay indoors on a snowy day, knitting scarves together. Look for matching merchandise and food souvenirs, plus a Christmas-outfit LinaBell plush badge (sold through December 25), a snowman-themed line, and special decorations around the park.
Beyond the park gates
Disney hotels: restaurants at Disney Ambassador Hotel, Hotel MiraCosta and Tokyo Disneyland Hotel serve chef-designed Christmas menus from November 1 to December 25. Every Disney hotel adds themed decorations and lights from November 11.
Disney Resort Line (the monorail): from November 11, a Christmas-wrapped train runs and riders get a limited-edition sticker. A holiday stamp rally starts November 10, a special-design free pass goes on sale, and souvenir medals arrive November 1.
Ikspiari: the shopping and dining complex by Maihama Station brings back its real fir Christmas tree in Celebration Plaza, along with wreaths, lights, gift ideas and seasonal menus. It’s a nice no-ticket-needed stop if you just want some holiday atmosphere.
